Identification
- About 3/8 inches long with a wingspan of about 5/8 inches
- Cream colored with a dark brown head
Environment
- Humid conditions help them multiply quickly
- Larvae feed on materials like flour, cereals, and nuts
Threats
- They encourage the growth of mold
- They leave behind webbing and feces in pantry goods, plus they change the flavor of food they infest
- Infestations can last a long time without proper control and prevention
