Identification
- Large brown birds with a black head and snake like neck
- They make a honking sound
- White chinstrap
Environment
- Common in and near ponds
- Can be found living on black top parking lots with a nearby grassy area
Threats
- Demonstrate some aggressive behaviors
- Very messy and loud
- The potential for them to enter your facility and spread diseases
Treatment
- Bird control – risk assessments, installed solutions, and DIY products
- Make your facility less attractive to them – avoid having a pond or large grass areas near your facility
