Packing Meals for Our Veterans

IFC may be a pest management and fumigation company, but their main goal is keeping more than just our food supply safe. They make time to focus on charitable works that make a difference. And what is more important than our veterans? Nothing is more fundamental to our country than freedom, and the price of that freedom is paid through the sacrifices of our military men, women, and their families. So, they decided to do something for them!

During IFC’s Annual Management Conference, they teamed up with The Pack Shack for a “Feed the Funnel Party.” Amidst hair nets and measuring cups there were smiles and full hearts as they packed over 15,000 meals for veterans in need. These meals were donated to Friends in Service of Heroes (FISH), an incredible organization that supports veterans not only across Kansas City where IFC’s corporate offices are located, but nationwide. The meals will be handed out to veterans in need across the country they so selflessly defended.

We asked Colbi Rich, Administrative & Marketing Assistant, about why IFC would want to partner with an organization like FISH. She said, “We have worked with Pack Shack and FISH for a number of years for our conference as our group enjoys the event and getting to pack meals for veterans who need help is very rewarding.”

Many of our veteran’s experience challenges but are reluctant to ask for help. FISH is committed to finding veterans in need and honoring them by providing critical support that empowers them to lead dignified and fulfilling lives. IFC is proud to support FISH as they stand alongside our heroes, offering them resources, care, and community as a symbol of our gratitude for their brave service. Through FISH’s dedication and the public’s donations, they aim to be a trusted friend and steadfast advocate for veterans of every generation. IFC is proud to be a part of that.
